It's always with great excitement that I unveil a new issue, and this one is no exception. Themed Family Life, the issue is not about kids, it's about living a conscious lifestyle as a family. The concepts and ideas explored within apply to all, but in my mind it's made so much more inspiring because children are involved. Watching my daughter evolve as she ages has really awed me, it's unbelieveable really, and reinforces how real the responsibility is. Everytime she mimics something I'm doing, I know that I'm shaping her thought patterns to be a future steward of the environment, and if she adopts simple habits now that will lead her toward a conscious, inspired lifestyle, it will be second nature to her (or at least, I hope). That's why I loved working on this issue so much. Meeting families and people doing such lovely things, and knowing that they are involving children in their learning journey, made me really happy! The whole issue is very cheerful, in fact. Each feature in the issue inspired me to take on something new, and shifted my thinking toward my family life in small ways. It is my sincere hope that you feel the same! I'm incredibly grateful to our readers, to our contributors, and to those featured, all of which make the magazine so unique and special! Pure Green is a lovely magazine! Your work is great and I'm so happy it's Canadian too. We hang on to the copies, as they're worth keeping on our bookshelves.

PS—during my mini-photoshoot with this issue, I quite literally took a snapshot of things found on the floor or coffee table at my house at any given time. It's an acurate depiction of family life in my home with a toddler in tow, from gluten-free, organic cheerios to wooden toys or vintage toys, it's a crazy time but I love it!
