23 Homes | Nexterra Green HomesPosted By:Celine
This project is special to me as my good friend Laura Felstiner spearheaded the creation of this amazing home in Toronto. With traditional construction methods, you might expect to build a home like this from scratch in, oh, lets say a year. How does a few months sound to you? This is the beauty of modular! An incredible feat of engineering, it's almost hard to believe that this home arrived in six pieces on four flatbed trucks. Using a crane to assemble, the 2,130 square foot home was ready to go in seven hours!

19 Out & AboutPosted By:Celine
This past weekend Pure Green was a media sponsor for the Green Living Show in Toronto. It was a wonderful experience to be at the show, to meet so many readers, both new and old. To see people's reactions as they peeked inside the magazine for the first time was amazing! Thank you to all who came, saw and subscribed!

3 Vol. 2 | Another Peek!Posted By:Celine
This shot is one of my favourites from the new issue. So lush and green! The shot is from one of our special features that explores growing sprouts and micro-greens at home. You will learn why these make the perfect, year-round and easy care garden; they are so packed with nutrients they are one of the most healthful foods on the planet; and it's a fresh approach to urban micro-farming! Anyone can do it with any amount of space, yet you will still inexpensively produce an incredible amount of food!

30 Urban Farming | The Everything RoofPosted By:Celine
Our new issue is due to arrive in just a few days! The theme centers around an introduction to urban farming—to people making it happen and great ideas/ways to get you started, all with a stylish, sustainable twist. As we were researching the new issue we came across so many amazing ideas, projects and people, way too much to include them all in the magazine, but I'm delighted to share a few with you here as we lead up to the release of Volume 2. One such project, in Toronto, is an brand new initiative called The Everything Roof created by a group called The About Face Collective. Their project is due to complete this summer—we'll make sure to catch up with them then as well, but in the meantime we asked them a few questions about their amazing project.
