Inspired Workplace Playlist

THIS IS A FIRST ON THE PURE GREEN BLOG: MUSIC! I love music. It accompanies me everywhere (except walks, because then I enjoy the sounds of the forest instead). The two places music are most important to me are in my car, where CBC Radio 2 and Drive are ever-present, and at my desk. The task of building layouts, sorting photos, writing, corresponding, reseraching, etc., are made that much more enjoyable by good music. A great song has true power over me—capable of making me dance, smile, cry, and lately, sing along to my little one Charlie. It instantly enhances my mood. This first playlist was inspired by our new issue, Inspired Workplace—they were all pretty much on repeat as I worked on it. They are the sort of quietly cheerful songs that are happy in the background while you're absorbed in a task, songs that you'll easily learn the words to and find yourself singing along. I don't pretend to be a music aficionado. I know I'm not... in fact what draws me to music is simply feeling good. These songs do that for me, lifting me up a little, giving me the gusto to keep going while not being overly distracting, and they get me dancing a little as I take a break from my desk to make a coffee. Hopefully one or two of these songs does the same for you too! What are your favourite songs to work by? Share them in the comments!! I'd love to hear them.
