INSIDE VOLUME 5, WANDERLUST, AN ISSUE ABOUT TRAVEL AS A MEANS TO APPRECIATING THIS PLANET, I wrote a special feature about my grandmother's stamp collection, which was photographed by the ever talented and my good friend Rebecca Wood. It meant a lot to me to share, and I'm hoping to one day do something really special with her collection. What I loved most about her collection is that is isn't pristine. It's not just books of perfect, unused stamps (although there are definitely some of those too), most of the stamps are torn from envelopes or postcards, sent to her from friends and family from all corners of the world. Her collection was added to over the years by dozens of people, and to me, that makes it worth so much more. I imagine all those letters, the places they have seen, and the stories told. Enjoy these unprinted photos, and if you'd like to see the real thing, plus all the other great content in Volume 5, there are links at the bottom of this post both to print and iPad editions. Thanks for reading!
