Thanks Clare! I hope you enjoyed the recipes with your very own bitters, that's really neat! Would love to see some pics :) Happy New Year to you, I hope you and your family have been keeping well!

Lovely post. We've been busy making our own bitters here at the farm so I think I'll tinker with some of these recipes and our bitters tonight!

The holiday entertaining season is far from over as preparations for New Year's celebrations are under way. I thought it nice to share these gorgeous and inspiring winter cocktail ideas with you, taken by Nicole Franzen, one of PGM's wonderfully talented contributors.
Nicole got together with her friend Kari of Morris Kitchen to create these tasty cocktail ideas while the mood is festive. It's really nice to have a fancy welcome drink to serve up New Year's Eve, so hopefully these inspire you!
Above: Eggnog Cocktail
Above: Mulled Cider
Blistered Cranberry Tequila Cocktail
2 oz Tequila
1/2 oz Preserved Lemon Syrup
1/2 oz Lemon Juice
2 oz fresh Cranberries
Toss fresh cranberries in a dry pan on high heat until blistered and soft. Muddle cranberries in a shaker and shake all ingredients with ice. Strain into a rocks glass over a large ice cube and scoop some cranberry on top. Garnish with skewered cranberries.
To make the eggnog cocktail or the mulled cider, visit Nicole's blog, it's very inspiring!
